Sweet Apple Wrap

Here’s a gluten free option for a classic American treat, sure to become one of your go-to low carb desserts.

Makes

4 Dessert Wraps
  • 4 egglife Original egg white wraps
  • 2 sweet apples – like gala or fuji – peeled and chopped
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup apple cider, apple juice or water
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • Unsweetened Vanilla yogurt or plain yogurt
  • Optional: caramel sauce

Directions

Melt butter in a sauté pan over medium heat.  When butter is melted, add apples and cook until they have softened a bit, about 3-4 minutes.  Add cinnamon and cider/juice or water and continue to cook apples until liquid is absorbed.  Add maple syrup.

To serve, use an egglife Original wrap.  Line wrap with a 2-3 tablespoons of yogurt, top with apples and fold.  Top with additional apples and caramel sauce if desired.
